Diagrams, in moderation
There has to be some degree of raw data in your speech, which isn't the easiest thing to articulate. You can't just say, "yeah, you'll be making a lot of money in a year". That doesn't work. People want to see what they can expect. Diagrams are very effective at showing expected rises and climbs in money, profits, sales, etc. Showing a nice graph can really reassure people. If you're working with a business to help raise their profits and you show a graph that goes up, you can bet the boss will be happy.
Detailed Handouts
Usually when you have a presentation, you could talk for hours in detail about things, but you never are granted this time. You typically have 5-10minutes to say it all. Obviously you can't go into too much detail. Print off some detailed notes and hand them out to your audience. The reason for this is simple; some people want detail. Detail isn't exactly the most effective way to do a presentation. The idea is to use your presentation as a way to really get people to like the idea, than they'll go into the more detailed notes.
